The aim of the „erasepixels“ project is to promote renewable energy projects and thus reduce the need for fossil fuels. This should reduce greenhouse gas emissions and consequently curb global warming.
The growing demand for primary energy underpins the need to significantly expand the renewable energy sector. To this end, projects are to be implemented in particular in countries in which fossil fuels still meet most of the energy demand. Especially in developing and emerging countries, the renewable energy sector is often insufficiently developed. It is striking that the willingness and motivation to change the energy mix in favor of renewable energies is definitely present.
The often unrivalled low electricity generation costs of the old power plants, the political instability and the excessively high interest rates of the banks in these countries inhibit developments in this sector and have a negative impact on potential investors.
There is a high capital requirement for the implementation of new construction projects such as photovoltaic systems. This is one of the main reasons why many energy projects are not implemented. Although with wind and solar parks the wheel is not reinvented and these plants are economically profitable in the long term and contribute enormously to the containment of greenhouse gases and particulate matter.
Unfortunately, many committed young people who want to implement new renewable energy projects are not successful due to the initial high investment amount. Banks require an average of 20% equity capital and / or require proof of a solvent company that has been in profit for at least three years. These high hurdles make it difficult to realize comparatively small energy projects. In addition, banks from the European Economic Area are rarely willing to finance projects in Europe outside the EU. In non-EU countries, however, potential energy projects are not implemented because the interest rates of local banks and the low remuneration for green energy there make all construction projects uneconomical.
In order to achieve our climate goals, it is particularly important to promote the rapid restructuring of the energy sector in countries with obsolete power plants through the expansion of renewable energies. Despite enormous opportunities due to the geographical location, these projects are unfortunately hardly realized due to the above-mentioned condition.
For the construction of renewable energy plants erasepixels collects money. Money can be sent by pressing the Erase button or directly to the PayPal account of erasepixels. For every Euro collected, one pixel in the image will be erased on the following day.
With the money collected, erasepixels will build a solar power plant with an output of 1 MWp as the first sub-goal. Subsequently, four more solar power plants with the same output are to be built. The proceeds from the sale of clean electricity will be used for the maintenance and operation of these plants. The profits generated will be used to promote and build further renewable energy projects.
At the moment, erasepixels has three different projects in the queue, which are to be realised in the shortest possible time with the money collected. We are always open to interesting ideas for the protection of our environment!
Project ideas or investment proposals are welcome to be submitted at contact@erasepixels.com.
